Hi Campers!
Hi! My name is Claire Joyce, and I’m so excited to be leading After School Adventure Camp here at GAR!
I live in Rockford with my husband and graduated from Illinois State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Services. I bring several years of leadership experience to GAR, including seven years as a Summer Camp Director in Roscoe and experience as a Preschool Director. Working with children and building strong relationships with families has always been a passion of mine.
My top priorities this summer are safety, connection, and of course — FUN! I am committed to creating an environment where every child feels welcomed, supported, and excited to come to camp each day.
When I’m not at GAR, you’ll most likely find me traveling (I’m also a full-time travel agent and owner of Wanderlust Travel Company!) or spending time with my adorable three-year-old twin nieces.
I am truly looking forward to an incredible school year filled with memories, laughter, and growth. I can’t wait to connect with all of our amazing campers and families!
